Samin is a beloved book author, NYT food columnist, podcaster and host of her own Netflix show. She has captured the hearts of many with her authentic, warm, insightful, vulnerable self.

Before Samin was a household name she came to me for a visual identity and website. I wanted Samin’s personality and aesthetic to come through in the typography of her wordmark and collateral — a sort of wabi-sabi, opposite of precious, approachable and elegant visual vocabulary. When creating her website, I needed to represent her multifaceted career: cook, writer, and teacher. Working with the incredible photographer Aya Bracket, we created spaces for each page of the site that perfectly expressed her talents.
